The will left by Moses reads as follows: This is the last will and testament of me Moses REDDER of Kirstead in the County of Norfolk farmer being of sound and disposing mind -----
First I give and devise unto William REEDER my son his heirs and assigns for ever all that my messuage and dwelling house with the outhouses etc---- situate ---- in Kirstead aforesaid or in any other town parish or place therein adjoining now in the occupation of myself or my tenants and which I lately purchased of Mr John Beaument / subject to the payment of all such sum and sums of money as shall be due from me to any person or persons upon and by virtue of any mortgage or mortgages of the said p remises / Also I give and devise unto the said William my son his heirs and assigns for and during the term of the natural life of my daughter Ann the wife of William WALTER all those my tenements or dwelling houses with the yards etc -------situate --- in Mundham in the said County of Norfolk and now in the several occupations of Charles YALLOP and COCKS their under tenants or assigns and which I purchased of BURGESS upon the trusts to and for the intents and purposes hereinafter arising the same / that is to say / trust that he the said William my son and his heirs shall and so pay and dispose of all the clear yearly rents issues and profits of my said tenements and premises last mentioned as the same shall be from time to time during the natural life of my said daughter arise and be received into the proper hands of her my said daughter or otherwise shall and be permit and suffer her to receive and take the same to and for her own sole and separate use and benefit To the intent the same or any part thereof may not be at the disposal or subject or liable to the control debts or engagements of her present or any future husband she may happen to marry but only at her own sole and separate disposal. And my will is and I do hereby declare the same to be that no assignment letter of Attorney Warrant of Authority to confess judgement or any other assurance whatsoever to be made by the said Ann my daughter for the purpose of mortgaging conveying assigning or disposing of the said clear rents issues and profits or any part thereof shall be valid it being my express desire that the same or any part thereof shall be paid into no ions hands but her own and that her receipt alone shall be a discharge for the same. And immediately from and after the decease of my said daughter I give and devise my said last mentioned tenements or dwelling houses or premises unto all and every children of the said Ann my daughter born and to be born to be equally divided between them if more than one share and share alike as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and the several and respective heirs and assigns of all and every such children. And in case one or more of such children shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years and without having issue of his her or their body or bodies lawfully begotten then as to the share or shares of him her or them so dying under age and without issue aforesaid I give and devise the same unto the survivor or survivors / if more than one / share and share alike as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and the several and respective heirs and assigns of such survivors or survivors of them. But in case there shall be no such child or children of the said Ann my daughter or being such shall all of them happen to die under the age of twenty one years and without issue of their or any of their respective bodies lawfully begotten. Then and in such case / it so happening as last mentioned / I give and devise my said last mentioned tenements or dwelling houses and premises unto my two grandsons William son of my said son William and Edmund son of my son Edmund REEDER to be equally divided between them share and share alike as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and to their several and respective heirs and assigns for ever. Also I give and devise unto the said Edmund REEDER my son his heirs and assigns for ever all that my messuage or tenement called the Newhouse with the yard ------------- thereto belonging ----- situate------ in Ashby in the said County of Norfolk now in the occupation of GOLDSPINK his under tenants or assigns and which I purchased of Mrs Mary TAYLOR and Miss Mary Ann TAYLOR. Also I do nominate and appoint the said William and Edmund my two executors of this my will. And I give unto them my said executors the sum of five pounds apiece for their care and trouble in the said executorships. Also I give and bequeath unto the said Ann my daughter the sum of five pounds to be paid within three months next after my decease, Also I give and bequeath unto the said William Edmund and Ann my children equally to be divided between then share and share alike to be paid to them or their respective legal representatives within six calendar months all and singular my household furniture stock cattle corn grain and implements of husbandry ready money and money anyways due to me and all other personal estate whatsoever which shall remain after payment of my debts / except such sum or sums of money as shall be due and payable upon and by virtue of any mortgage or mortgages of my aforesaid Hereditaments in Kirstead aforesaid it being my will that my personal estate shall not be answerable for the same / the above said legacies and the legacy hereinafter given to the said William my son and my funeral and testamentary expenses. And I direct my said executors to pay the said legacy of five pounds and the third part or share of my personal estate herein given to the said Ann my daughter into the proper hands of my said daughter whose receipt only and alone shall be god and sufficient discharge to them my said executors for the same. And my will is that the said legacy or share shall not be at the disposal or subject or liable to the control debts or engagements of her said husband but only at her own disposal. And I give unto the said William my son the sum of twenty pounds to enable him to pay the fine and fees payable on his admission to the Copyhold premises in Mundham aforesaid. And my will is and I do hereby direct that my said executors and trustees shall each of them be answerable for his own acr and receipt only and not the one for the other of them. And that they shall not be answerable to accountable for any loss or miscarriage that may happen in my estate so as the same happen without their wilful default and also that they shall or may retain all their costs charges and expenses and fees to Counsel for advice out of the estate and effect respectively vested in them in and by this my will., And I do revoke ------
