Research Notes

  • Research note 01: I believe that this man ended up in Canada (1916 census of Alberta). Take note of this man's children's names. I have had this theory confirmed from the 'other side of the tree'. Jacqueline says "A copy of a Border Crossing to the USA on 15 Mar 1940 for John Owen Edward Blake has the following information on it. John is a bus agent, married to Beth, and he gives his father as Jeffrey E. Blake, Prov. Jail at Lethbridge, Alberta. If Jeffrey was a Seargent perhaps he worked there - I don't know.

Jeffrey was single in 1906 when he was in partnership with Samuel HARRIS and his wife in Cardston They had 25 horses, 25 milk cows and 75 steers and 2 pigs, so I assume some sort of farm. Cardston was first settled in 1887

Wives names : Aishele Margarite Violet Legoux and Jessie Ann Hagen.1
  • Research note 02: Not the Admiral in the RN, as he was born in Alverstoke with different parents. Refer to Citation for details.
