    * There is a lengthy report in the Boston Evening Transcript dated Monday 23rd April about 'Joseph' (sic) ADLER and his fellow missionary Rev John WILKINSON. They were visiting from London
    * The Chief Rabbi of the British Empire 1845 until 1890 was Marcus Adler. His son 'succeeded him and held the post until 1911. They were both born in Germany. I wonder if they were related?.
