Some aspects of Hobart Edward Cato's life. It seems Hobart was a racing cyclist know as Edward CATO. The following newspaper report of an accident he was in when racing - A racing cyclist named Edward Cato lies in the Melbourne Hospital is a very critical condition, owing to his having severely frac- tured his skull in a bicycle race on satur- day afternoon. Cato, who is only 19 years of age, resides in Sydney Road, Moreland, and is regarded as a speedy rider among the wheelmen of the locality. On Saturday afternoon, he made one of a party of Bruns- wick cyclists who attended a sports meet-ing at Richmond City ground and he made Ins first appearance in the Mile Han- dicap race. Cato rode two laps at an easy pace but in moving up for position in the third round he became crowded. In en- deavouring to cut through an opening another rider swerved towards him, and the machines collided. Both fell, and Cato, who was riding at a fast pace, was thrown head foremost along the ground until he struck a post heavily He was picked up un- conscious, but quickly recovered his senses and was quite rational by the time Mr F W HUNTER of Park Street North Carlton had conveyed him to the Melbourne Hospital

He was admitted by Mr Palmor, M B, and is manifestly in a very dangerous condition, though his marvelous vitality and spirit may save his life.

Some aspects of Hobart Edward Cato's life. I believe that Hobart Edward was working in Sopwith Aviation in Kingston-upon-thames at the end of the war. Ralph Northcote stated he had a brother working there in 1918, and there was a notification in the 'flight' magazine dated July 1919 as follows:
