Some aspects of John Beets Bales's life. Cadet Johnny (J. B.) BALES who was killed in Northern Ireland. He was retuned to Yarmouth and buried with full honours, home address being Queen's Place, Crown Road. Johnny was 24 years old in 1921, and had served in WW1 from 1914. He was in Gallipoli, the Egypt, was commissioned in the RAF where he went to Salonika. He was a true sportsman, roller skating, boxing, swimming and entertaining at social functions - Yarmouth Independent 30 April 1921.
