Some aspects of Maria Bell's life. Maria and William were Christened in the same church on the same day. The entries in the PR follow on, and they are the only Chr in the church on that day. I would assume the couples met....

AND NOW I HAVE TO SAY I HAVE SEEN EVERYTHING - Just after discovering this (I was researching the BAXFIELD family, and I only recognised Maria's name and parents in the PR by chance) I found Ann in the 1851 census. She was a pauper and had the blind Maria as her lodger...So they not only met at the Chr, they were most likely already acquainted. The BAXFIELDs married into the BEALES/PATTERSON family, and the BELL family are related to the BLAKE line.
