Assaulted Girl - Carl Richard Chugg pleaded guilty to having on December 27 unlawfully assaulted an 11-year-old girl by placing his hands on her and kissing her on the face. Detective Burke said that on December 27 a man had seen Chugg in Royal Park with the girl. He had told the girl's relatives and parents that he had seen her in the park with a man. The girl had been interviewed, and said that she knew Chugg. Chugg had admitted placing his hands on the girl and kissing her, when he was interviewed. He had said that as he knew the child he did not think he was doing any harm.
