Research Notes

  • Research note 01: Elvina disappeared from the voter roll by 1919, but an Elvina Grace PARKER was on a supplemental roll for 1914 and then each after that on the main roll. The entry for 1914 is unreadable (on te copy on the web) but in 1919 she was living in 14 Frederick Street, Launceston, and in the same house was William George PARKER a railway shunter. A good guess is that they were married very shortly before the 1914 electoral roll was closed. Also in 1919 Alice May PARKER and Jane PARKER were living in ! Frederick Street, neither of whom were employed outside the house. They may be related to William? We could search the Tasmania index for a marriage?
