Census details

Research Notes

  • Research note 01: Stated by Lovewell in 1866 as still alive with 4 children, but the 1861 census shows them living with 5 children, 3 sons and 2 daughters. Looking carefully at the form as filled out by the census taker, it is not impossible for him to have 'made' Frank and Fanny from the one person (there are minor alterations on the form which may indicate uncertainty), so if we cannot find any life events for either Fanny or Frank we should consider deleting one or the other..4

Children of Rebecca Blake and John Ebenezer Howell
