The CULLING and the EVERRETT families married into each other a number of times and often sets of siblings married each other. I believe this family were of one or more protestant faiths, so parish records have proved elusive.

Luckily there are some wills that make interesting reading

I have been lucky enough to be on the receiving end of assistance from other researchers. The FLATMAN family and the CULLING family have active researchers. Where would we be without each other!

One branch of the family ended up in Nebraska. I wonder what took them there? Most, except for those who went to London, remained tied to the land until recently. One, Horace EVERRETT, was the game keeper of Grimsthorpe Castle, the seat of the Dukes of Ancaster. He was there in 1911, and I believe that King Edward went there at about that time to do a spot of hunting. I plan to check newspaper reports to see if I can pinpoint when, and if there is a possibility that Horace was part of the action - albeit as a servant.
