Census details

Background information on Bacchus Walk, Hoxton, Greater London, England, - Bacchus Walk appears to be an alleyway between 2 public houses in Hoxton, near St John's Road. Nothing turns up in the newspapers for people named BASE living there, even though the laneway was often in the papers. The laneway still exists, but the whole area seems to have been rebuilt, and St John's Road is no longer there.

Charles Booth (c 1890) says that housebreakers live there, and he names the nearby street as Little John Street.

It is not far from Conduit Street, and Saville Row.
