Anecdote - Musings and Reasonings

Research note (complicated): Possibly registered as Albert William CHAPMAN in 2nd Qtr 1905, in which case he married Lily THOMPSON (b 1908) in Luton Sep qtr 1931, and was found with her and a Derrick A CHAPMAN aged 5 in Harpenden in 1939. He was a lorry driver and haulage contractor.

Children may have been, Thelma 1932, Derrick 1934, Harold J 1938, all 3 registered in Luton AND June 1940, Hazel 1941, Beryl 1943 all 3 registered in Hertfordshire.

Of the above children I have found the following possible scenarios. ALL CONJECTURE
* Derrick Albert died in London 1978, no marriage found.
* Thelma died 1936 in Luton
* Harold J may have married Patricia E COWELL in St Albans Hertfordshire 1972. In which case he was alive and well in Hertfordshire c 2014, after marrying 2nd Sharon WESTWOOD in 1998
* June may have married Richard WARD (as June E) in St Albans, in which case living in St Albans c 2014
* Hazel married Peter WEBB in St Albans 1964. Peter died Luton and Hazel may be in same place c 2010
* Beryl married Donald P CURRY St Albans 1964. She died in 1989

He is NOT the Albert W who married Ivy M CHIVERS in Camberwell in 1935, found in Ware 1939. However, this couple were next door to Joseph and Alice CHAPMAN who were of the right age to be an earlier generation of the same family (parents or uncle). The birth of this man is found in Sep Qtr 1905 IN Ware

The above accounts for the only 2 Albert Williams of the right age in 1939.1
